Description

A colorful and flavorful layered appetizer made with refried beans, creamy yogurt mixture, fresh vegetables, and savory toppings. This easy no-cook dip is perfect for gatherings, parties, or casual snacking with tortilla chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) refried beans
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup diced avocado or guacamole
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Spread the refried beans evenly across the bottom of a serving dish to form the first layer.
  2. In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, sour cream, and taco seasoning until smooth.
  3. Spread the yogurt mixture evenly over the bean layer.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the creamy layer.
  5. Add the diced tomatoes across the surface.
  6. Scatter the chopped green onions and sliced black olives over the dip.
  7. Top with diced avocado or small spoonfuls of guacamole.
  8. Refrigerate the dip for about 30 minutes to allow the layers to settle.
  9. Serve chilled with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • Mashed black beans with lime juice and spices can replace refried beans for a different flavor.
  • Add a layer of salsa or pico de gallo for extra freshness.
  • Mix chopped jalapeños into the yogurt layer or sprinkle on top for added heat.
  • Shredded lettuce can be added for a fresh crunchy layer.
  • Toss diced avocado with a little lime juice to help prevent browning.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • This dip is best enjoyed fresh and served chilled.
