Description
This seafood pasta with shrimp and crab is a creamy, refreshing dish made with tender pasta, sweet seafood, crisp veggies, and a zesty lemon-Dijon dressing. It’s ideal for both warm dinners and chilled pasta salads.
Ingredients
- 8 oz rotini, penne, or preferred pasta
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup crab meat
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water if serving chilled. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine shrimp, crab meat, celery, tomatoes, and red onion.
- In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to create the dressing.
- Add pasta to the seafood and vegetables. Pour dressing over and toss until everything is well coated.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes if serving cold, or serve immediately if desired warm.
Notes
- Add diced cucumber or bell peppers for extra crunch.
- Top with Parmesan cheese or fresh dill for added flavor.
- Substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise for a lighter version.
- Add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
- Best served cold or at room temperature; avoid reheating.
