Description
Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Fries are crispy, golden fries tossed in garlic, Parmesan cheese, and herbs. Made in the air fryer with minimal oil, they’re a delicious and easy side or snack that’s ready in under an hour.
Ingredients
- 2 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove fresh garlic, minced (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 15–30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry thoroughly.
- In a large bowl, toss fries with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
- Place fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking for even crispiness.
- When fries are golden and crispy, immediately toss with grated Parmesan and minced garlic (if using).
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Dry fries thoroughly before air frying to help them crisp.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket—cook in batches for best results.
- Use sweet potatoes for a variation (note they may be less crispy).
- Add smoked paprika or cayenne for a spicy twist.
- Use shredded Parmesan for an extra cheesy version.
