Description

Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Quesadillas are a warm, sweet, and easy morning treat that brings together soft, spiced apples and crisp tortillas. It’s like enjoying apple pie for breakfast—quick, cozy, and customizable.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoons sugar or maple syrup (to taste)
  • 2 flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing the pan)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese or shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the apples into small pieces.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the apples with cinnamon and sugar or maple syrup until soft and lightly caramelized, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. In a separate clean skillet, warm a tortilla with a bit of butter.
  4. Spread cream cheese on one side of the tortilla if using, then spoon the warm apple mixture over half of the tortilla.
  5. Fold the tortilla over the filling and cook on both sides until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Slice into wedges and serve warm. Optionally, top with powdered sugar or a drizzle of honey.

Notes

  • Add chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans for extra crunch.
  • Swap apples for pears or add raisins for added sweetness.
  • Use Nutella or caramel sauce for indulgence.
  • Sharp cheddar can be used for a savory-sweet twist.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days; reheat in a skillet for best texture.
