Ingredients
- 3 medium sweet apples (Fuji, Gala, or Honeycrisp)
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger root, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup water (optional, for blending)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
- Ice cubes, for serving
Instructions
- Wash and chop apples into chunks, leaving the skin on but removing cores and seeds.
- Peel and slice the ginger.
- If using a juicer, juice the apples and ginger together and collect the juice.
- If using a blender, add apples, ginger, and water. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove pulp.
- Stir in lemon juice, if using.
- Serve over ice and enjoy immediately for best taste.
