- ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

- 3 Tbsp melted butter (for basting)
- Optional: 1 Tbsp honey or sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 °F (220 °C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and optional sweetener.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in milk and stir until just combined—don’t overmix.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface and pat into a 1-inch thick circle.
- Cut out biscuits and place on prepared sheet.
- Brush tops with melted butter.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush again with melted butter after baking and serve warm.

- Add garlic powder and chives for savory flavor.
- Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon for a sweet version.
- Fold in shredded cheese for cheesy biscuits.
