Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 9-inch pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced pickles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add diced tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar. Simmer until the mixture thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
  4. Fit pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate and trim the excess edges.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture into the crust and spread evenly.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and pickles if using.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.
