- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into strips
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- 2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
- 4 large tortillas or wraps
- 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or blend)
- 4 lettuce leaves or 1 cup mixed greens
- 1–2 tomatoes, sliced
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers or cucumbers (optional)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise, sour cream, or Greek yogurt
- Optional: 1 tsp lemon juice or chopped herbs for sauce
- Optional garnish: chopped parsley or cilantro
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic, and smoked paprika if using.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 4–6 minutes, flipping halfway until golden and cooked through.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over chicken in the pan, cover briefly to melt the cheese.
- Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
- Spread creamy sauce down the center of each tortilla.
- Layer lettuce, tomato, optional veggies, and cheesy chicken on top of the sauce.
- Fold in sides and roll tightly into wraps.
- Optional: Place wraps seam-side down in skillet for 1 minute to crisp and seal.
Notes
- Store sauce separately from assembled wraps to avoid sogginess.
- Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker version.
- Add jalapeños or hot sauce for heat, or swap tortillas for lettuce leaves for low-carb.
