Description

These Cranberry Brie Bites are flaky, warm, and elegant appetizer morsels featuring buttery puff pastry cups filled with melty brie and tangy cranberry sauce. Perfect for holidays, parties, or anytime you want a quick, impressive snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet thawed puff pastry (or equivalent dough sheets)
  • 8 oz brie cheese, cold / slightly chilled, cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (store‑bought or homemade)
  • Mini muffin tin (24‑cup) greased
  • Optional toppings: fresh rosemary sprigs, chopped pecans or walnuts, a light egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water)
  • All‑purpose flour (for dusting work surface)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C) and lightly grease a 24‑cup mini muffin tin.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet if needed. Cut into 24 equal squares.
  3. Press each pastry square into a mini muffin cup, forming a little cup shape.
  4. Place one piece of brie into each pastry cup.
  5. Spoon ~1 teaspoon cranberry sauce on top of each brie piece.
  6. If using, brush the exposed edges of the pastry with egg wash and/or top each with a rosemary sprig and/or chopped nuts.
  7. Bake for about 12‑15 minutes (or until pastry is golden and cheese is melty).
  8. Allow to cool in the tin for a few minutes, then remove bites and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • You can substitute puff pastry for crescent roll dough if preferred. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
  • Leaving the rind on the brie is fine — it helps hold the cheese while baking. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
  • These can be prepared ahead (assembled, chilled) and baked just before serving.
  • Freeze leftover baked bites (once cooled) for up to 2 months; reheat in oven at ~350 °F until warmed through. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
