Ingredients
- For the brownie batter:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- For the cream cheese swirl:
- 6 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar together. Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until the batter is smooth.
- In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until creamy and smooth.
- Pour most of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, reserving a few spoonfuls.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the brownie layer.
- Dollop the reserved brownie batter on top and swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, until edges are set and center is slightly soft.
- Cool completely before slicing for clean layers.
