Ingredients
- 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté diced onion until soft, then add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned and crumbly. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute to develop flavor.
- Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until coated in the creamy sauce.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- Swap ground beef for turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- Add mushrooms, spinach, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
- For spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- Stir in cream cheese with the heavy cream for a richer sauce.
- Use other pasta shapes like penne, rotini, or fusilli if desired.
