A hearty and comforting pasta dish made with tender bowtie pasta, savory ground beef, and a rich, creamy sauce flavored with Parmesan and Italian seasoning—perfect for a quick and satisfying weeknight dinner.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté diced onion until soft, then add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned and crumbly. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute to develop flavor.
  5. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until coated in the creamy sauce.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Swap ground beef for turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Add mushrooms, spinach, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
  • For spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Stir in cream cheese with the heavy cream for a richer sauce.
  • Use other pasta shapes like penne, rotini, or fusilli if desired.
