Description

A comforting creamy one-pot spaghetti dinner where pasta cooks directly in a rich savory sauce with ground meat, garlic, and parmesan. This easy meal delivers hearty flavor with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
  • 2 cups chicken or beef broth
  • 1 cup milk or heavy cream
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook for a few minutes until softened.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the ground beef or turkey and cook while breaking it apart until browned and fully cooked.
  5. Pour in the broth, milk or cream, and tomato sauce.
  6. Stir in the Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  8. Add the uncooked spaghetti to the pot, pressing it down into the liquid.
  9. Cook for about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally so the pasta cooks evenly and does not stick.
  10. Once the spaghetti is tender and the sauce thickens, stir in the grated parmesan cheese.
  11. Mix until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes creamy.
  12. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add mushrooms, spinach, or bell peppers for extra vegetables.
  • Chili flakes or diced jalapeños can add a little heat.
  • Italian sausage can replace ground beef for deeper flavor.
  • Stir in shredded mozzarella at the end for extra cheesiness.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat with a splash of milk or broth to restore the creamy sauce.
  • Stir occasionally while reheating to keep the sauce smooth.
