Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 3 tbsp olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh or 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm water, 1 tbsp olive oil, and instant yeast. Stir in flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
  2. Shape dough into a ball, lightly coat with olive oil, place in a bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Generously oil a baking dish or sheet pan. Gently press the dough into the pan and dimple it with your fingertips.
  4. In a small bowl, mix minced garlic, 2 tbsp olive oil, rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle over the dough.
  5. Sprinkle a generous layer of grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Optional: Let the topped dough rise for another 20 minutes for a lighter texture.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for about 20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  8. Brush with more olive oil and sprinkle additional cheese or fresh rosemary if desired. Let cool slightly before slicing.
