Crispy Cheesy Chicken Alfredo combines golden, breaded chicken breasts with a rich, creamy Alfredo sauce for a comforting and indulgent meal perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick spray.
  2. In separate dishes, set up a breading station with flour (seasoned with salt and pepper), beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, then coat in breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheese until melted and sauce is creamy. Season with salt, pepper, and dried basil if using.
  7. Slice or serve chicken whole, pour Alfredo sauce over top, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Sauté spinach, mushrooms, or broccoli to mix into the sauce for extra nutrition.
  • Add red pepper flakes to the sauce or chicken for a spicy kick.
  • Use chicken tenders for faster cooking and easier serving.
  • Try alternative cheeses like cheddar or gouda for different flavors.
