Description
Crispy cheesy chicken fritters are savory, golden bites filled with juicy chicken, melty cheese, and flavorful herbs—perfect for snacking, dipping, or a quick dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, finely chopped or shredded
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour or almond flour
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying (vegetable or avocado oil preferred)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine chopped chicken, eggs, cheese, flour, garlic, green onions, salt, and pepper.
- Let the mixture rest for 5–10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a generous amount of oil.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot pan and flatten slightly to form fritters.
- Cook each side for 3–4 minutes until golden and crispy, flipping once.
- Transfer cooked fritters to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil before serving.
Notes
- Swap mozzarella for pepper jack for a spicy version.
- Add chopped spinach or zucchini for extra veggies.
- Use canned tuna or salmon for a seafood twist.
- To reheat, use a skillet or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
- Store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze after cooking for later.
