Description

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, halved
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup oil for frying
  • For the cilantro lime sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • For serving:
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • lettuce
  • tomato slices

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Set up a dredging station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  3. Coat each chicken piece in flour, dip into eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  5. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, lime juice, cilantro, garlic, and salt to make the sauce.
  6. Remove chicken from skillet and let rest briefly.
  7. Assemble sandwiches by placing chicken on buns, adding lettuce and tomato, and spreading cilantro lime sauce on top.
