This deep hamburger sausage and pepperoni pie is a hearty, cheesy comfort food dish that layers meats, sauce, and gooey cheese inside a golden crust for a pizza-inspired twist on pot pie.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage, casing removed
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust or homemade dough
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and sausage with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Roll out pie crust and press it into a deep-dish pie pan. Brush lightly with olive oil.
  4. Layer in half the meat mixture, then add half the sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, and Parmesan.
  5. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients and top with extra cheese.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

  • Add sautéed onions, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra flavor.
  • Use hot Italian sausage or red pepper flakes for a spicier version.
  • Store leftovers for up to 3 days and reheat in oven or air fryer.
