Description

Fudgy Chocolate Chip Brownie Bars are rich, gooey brownies packed with chocolate chips and baked to chewy perfection. They’re easy to make with pantry staples and deliver bakery-style indulgence in under an hour.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease lightly.
  2. Melt butter with 1½ cups chocolate chips in a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  4. Slowly pour in the cooled chocolate mixture, whisking constantly to combine.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined—do not overmix.
  7. Stir in remaining 1½ cups of chocolate chips.
  8. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  10. Cool in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • Add walnuts or pecans for crunch.
  • Stir in 1 tsp espresso powder for a mocha twist.
  • Use a mix of dark or white chocolate chips for variety.
  • Top with melted chocolate or sea salt for extra flair.
  • Use 1:1 gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version.
