Garlic Butter Lemon Salmon is a quick and elegant dish with flaky salmon fillets bathed in rich garlic butter and bright lemon flavor. It’s healthy, flavorful, and ready in under 30 minutes.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, 1 tsp fresh dill or thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with parchment or lightly grease it.
  2. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Place them skin-side down in the dish.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and zest.
  5. Spoon the garlic butter mixture over the salmon fillets evenly.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Broil for the last 2 minutes for a crisp top.
  • Add a splash of white wine or Dijon mustard for extra flavor depth.
  • Serve with roasted vegetables, rice, or salad for a complete meal.
