Ingredients
- For the patties:
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- For the garlic butter:
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- For the parmesan sauce:
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp cream cheese (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- To assemble:
- 4 burger buns (brioche or potato)
- 4 tbsp grated parmesan (for topping patties)
- Lettuce, tomato, or arugula (optional)
- Red onion slices (optional)
Instructions
- Make garlic butter: Melt butter in a small pan, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Stir in parsley and set aside.
- Make parmesan sauce: Simmer cream and garlic in a saucepan. Whisk in parmesan until melted. Stir in cream cheese if using. Season with salt and pepper and keep warm.
- Form ground beef into 4 patties. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Cook patties on a hot skillet or grill for 3–4 minutes per side. In the last minute, sprinkle with parmesan and cover to melt.
- Toast buns in a skillet or under a broiler. Brush with garlic butter.
- Assemble burgers with patties, parmesan sauce, and optional toppings. Serve immediately.
