Ingredients

  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 cup spinach or kale (loosely packed)
  • 1 green apple, cored and chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon or lime juice
  • 1/2-inch piece fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1/2 to 1 cup water (if using a blender)

Instructions

  1. Wash all produce thoroughly.
  2. If using a juicer: juice cucumber, celery, spinach, apple, and ginger.
  3. If using a blender: chop all produce, add to blender with water, and blend until smooth.
  4. Strain through a mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove pulp.
  5. Stir in lemon or lime juice and serve immediately.
