Description

Quick and easy homemade garlic bread using regular sliced bread, this recipe delivers crispy edges, buttery garlic flavor, and is perfect as a side or snack with minimal prep.


Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 slices of sandwich bread (white, whole wheat, or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat a non-stick pan over medium heat for stovetop method.
  2. In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt.
  3. Spread garlic butter evenly on each slice of bread.
  4. Sprinkle grated Parmesan on top if using.
  5. For oven: place bread on a baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are golden and crispy. Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness.
  6. For stovetop: toast bread butter-side down in a pan until golden and crisp.
