A calming and fragrant homemade lavender milk tea that blends delicate floral notes with smooth, creamy milk and gently sweetened tea for a cozy and relaxing drink.
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 2 black tea bags or 2 tsp loose-leaf tea
- 1 tsp dried culinary lavender
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 2 tbsp honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Heat water until just below boiling.
- Add black tea and dried lavender, then steep for about 5 minutes.
- Strain the mixture to remove tea and lavender.
- Stir in honey or sugar while the tea is still warm.
- Heat the milk separately and froth if desired.
- Pour the warm milk into the tea and stir to combine.
- Add vanilla extract if using.
- Serve warm or let cool and pour over ice for an iced version.

- Avoid over-steeping to prevent bitterness.
- Use green tea for a lighter variation.
- Oat milk adds extra creaminess.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon for a warm twist.
