Description

A calming and fragrant homemade lavender milk tea that blends delicate floral notes with smooth, creamy milk and gently sweetened tea for a cozy and relaxing drink.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags or 2 tsp loose-leaf tea
  • 1 tsp dried culinary lavender
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 2 tbsp honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat water until just below boiling.
  2. Add black tea and dried lavender, then steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture to remove tea and lavender.
  4. Stir in honey or sugar while the tea is still warm.
  5. Heat the milk separately and froth if desired.
  6. Pour the warm milk into the tea and stir to combine.
  7. Add vanilla extract if using.
  8. Serve warm or let cool and pour over ice for an iced version.

Notes

  • Avoid over-steeping to prevent bitterness.
  • Use green tea for a lighter variation.
  • Oat milk adds extra creaminess.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon for a warm twist.
  • Best enjoyed fresh, but can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
