Description
Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte is a vibrant and refreshing layered drink that combines sweet strawberry puree, creamy milk, and bold matcha. It’s as beautiful as it is delicious—the perfect drink for warm days, slow mornings, or whenever I want something fun and energizing.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1–2 tablespoons sugar or honey (to sweeten strawberries)
- 1–2 tablespoons strawberry puree (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non‑dairy such as oat, almond, or coconut)
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder (culinary or ceremonial grade)
- 2 tablespoons hot water (to dissolve matcha)
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Make the strawberry base by blending or mashing the strawberries with sugar or honey until smooth and slightly syrupy. Set aside.
- Whisk the matcha powder with hot water until fully dissolved and frothy.
- In a tall glass, add a generous spoonful of the strawberry puree at the bottom.
- Add ice cubes on top of the strawberry layer, then pour in the milk gently to maintain a layered look.
- Slowly pour the prepared matcha over the milk so it floats or layers on top.
- Give it a gentle stir before sipping, or enjoy the layered look and stir just before drinking.
Notes
- Use maple syrup or agave instead of sugar for the strawberry puree.
- Blend the entire drink together for a smoothie‑style version.
- Add a splash of vanilla extract to the milk for extra creaminess and flavor.
- Use coconut milk for a tropical twist that pairs beautifully with strawberry and matcha.
- Prep the strawberry puree ahead and store in the fridge for up to 3 days in a sealed container.
