Description

These Jello cups with creamy pudding are a colorful, nostalgic dessert featuring fruity gelatin layered with smooth vanilla pudding. Easy to make ahead and fun to customize, they’re perfect for parties or a playful treat anytime.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (3 oz) flavored gelatin (e.g., strawberry, raspberry, or lime)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • Optional: whipped topping, sprinkles, or fruit for garnish
  • 6 clear plastic cups or glass jars for serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve the gelatin powder in 1 cup boiling water.
  2. Stir in 1 cup cold water until fully combined.
  3. Pour the Jello into 6 serving cups, filling each halfway.
  4. Refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until the Jello is set.
  5. Meanwhile, whisk the vanilla pudding mix with 2 cups cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened. Let it sit for a few minutes.
  6. Once the Jello is firm, spoon or pipe the pudding over the Jello layer in each cup.
  7. Refrigerate again until ready to serve.
  8. Top with whipped cream, sprinkles, or fruit if desired before serving.

Notes

  • Use different Jello flavors for variety or themed layers.
  • Add crushed cookies or graham crackers between layers for texture.
  • Swirl a drop of food coloring into the pudding for extra flair.
  • Make ahead the night before for easy serving.
  • Store covered in the fridge for up to 3 days — do not freeze.
