- 1/2 cup cucumber, grated and well drained
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- For serving:
- 4 burger buns or pita breads
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Red onion slices

Instructions
- Prepare the tzatziki sauce by combining Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (well drained), garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, dill, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix well and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, garlic, red onion, parsley, oregano, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 evenly sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
- Lightly toast buns or pita if desired.
- Assemble burgers with chicken patties, generous tzatziki sauce, tomato slices, red onion, and lettuce.
- Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- Avoid overmixing the chicken to keep burgers tender.
- Drain cucumber thoroughly to prevent watery tzatziki.
- Grill patties for a smoky flavor.
- Store cooked patties and sauce separately for up to 3 days.
- Freeze uncooked patties for up to 2 months.
