Description

This refreshing Mint Julep is a cool, naturally sweet drink infused with fresh mint and perfect for hot days, family gatherings, or elegant brunches. Light and invigorating, it’s easy to make and endlessly customizable.

Ingredients

  • 810 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup (or honey, to taste)
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1/2 cup cold water or sparkling water
  • Fresh mint sprig, for garnish
  • Optional: lemon slices or a splash of citrus juice

Instructions

  1. Place mint leaves and simple syrup in the bottom of a cup or glass.
  2. Gently muddle the mint to release its oils, being careful not to tear the leaves.
  3. Fill the cup halfway with crushed ice and pour in the cold or sparkling water.
  4. Stir gently to combine the flavors.
  5. Top with more crushed ice to form a frosty mound.
  6. Garnish with a mint sprig and optional lemon slice, then serve immediately.

Notes

  • Infuse your simple syrup with mint for extra depth of flavor.
  • Add lemonade or citrus juice for a tangy variation.
  • Mix in fresh berries or peach slices for a fruity twist.
  • Use sparkling water for a fizzy, lighter version.
  • Mint syrup can be made in advance and stored up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
