Ingredients
- 8–10 fresh mint leaves
- 1 tablespoon simple syrup (or honey, to taste)
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1/2 cup cold water or sparkling water
- Fresh mint sprig, for garnish
- Optional: lemon slices or a splash of citrus juice
Instructions
- Place mint leaves and simple syrup in the bottom of a cup or glass.
- Gently muddle the mint to release its oils, being careful not to tear the leaves.
- Fill the cup halfway with crushed ice and pour in the cold or sparkling water.
- Stir gently to combine the flavors.
- Top with more crushed ice to form a frosty mound.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and optional lemon slice, then serve immediately.
