Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional Topping:
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, milk, chopped onion, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan or on the baking sheet.
- If desired, brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese over it.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender.
- Add shredded mozzarella in the center for a cheesy variation.
- Mix in red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
- Top with marinara glaze during the last 15 minutes for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Freeze for up to 2 months and thaw overnight before reheating.
