Description

A juicy and flavorful meatloaf made with ground beef, garlic, herbs, and plenty of Parmesan cheese for a comforting classic with a savory twist.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional Topping:
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, milk, chopped onion, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan or on the baking sheet.
  5. If desired, brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese over it.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender.
  • Add shredded mozzarella in the center for a cheesy variation.
  • Mix in red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
  • Top with marinara glaze during the last 15 minutes for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Freeze for up to 2 months and thaw overnight before reheating.
