Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs ground beef (85% lean)
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or more parmesan for topping
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet or loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, parmesan, garlic, onion, milk, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Mix gently until just combined—do not overmix.
- Shape mixture into a loaf on the baking sheet or press into the loaf pan.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella or more parmesan on top if desired.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
