Description

These Olive Garden–style breadsticks are soft, fluffy, and brushed with buttery garlic goodness. Perfect for pairing with soups, pastas, or enjoying as a cozy snack straight from the oven.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in olive oil, salt, and flour until a dough forms. Knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each into a breadstick shape and place on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Cover and let rise again for 15–20 minutes while preheating oven to 400°F (205°C).
  6. Bake for 12–14 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Immediately brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder and a pinch of salt.
  8. Serve warm for best flavor and texture.

  • Add grated Parmesan or Italian seasoning to the butter for extra flavor.
