Description

This One-Pot Cajun Chicken Alfredo Orzo is a creamy, spicy, and comforting meal made in just one pot. It features tender chicken, rich Alfredo-style sauce, and orzo that absorbs bold Cajun flavor—perfect for busy nights.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup orzo
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning and cook until lightly browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add garlic and cook until fragrant. Stir in orzo and toast for 1 minute.
  3. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring often, until orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and paprika. Return chicken to the pot and simmer until sauce thickens.
  5. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top before serving.

Notes

  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor and color.
  • Increase Cajun seasoning or add chili flakes for more heat.
  • Use shrimp instead of chicken for a seafood twist.
