Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped peanuts

Instructions

  1. Cream together peanut butter, softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in rolled oats and chocolate chips or chopped peanuts if using.
  6. Spread batter evenly into a greased baking pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden and set.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
