Description

Quick & easy strawberry Danish is a flaky, fruity treat made with puff pastry, creamy filling, and sweet strawberries. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert, it delivers bakery-style flavor in under 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets (thawed if frozen)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam or 1/2 cup fresh strawberries (diced)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tbsp milk or cream (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into 4-inch squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the center of each pastry square.
  5. Top with a dollop of strawberry jam or a few diced strawberries.
  6. Fold the corners inward or shape the dough as desired.
  7. Brush pastry edges with egg wash.
  8. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
  9. Allow to cool slightly, then mix powdered sugar with milk to make a glaze and drizzle over the pastries.
