Description
Salted caramel apple pie cheesecake is a decadent, layered dessert that combines creamy cheesecake, spiced apple pie filling, and a rich salted caramel drizzle for a showstopping fall treat.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for crust)
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 3 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for apples)
- 3 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)
- Sea salt flakes, optional for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Line the bottom of a springform pan with parchment paper.
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press into pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
- In a skillet, cook diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour until tender. Set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add 1 cup sugar, eggs, vanilla, and sour cream. Mix until creamy and smooth.
- Pour half the cheesecake batter over the crust. Spoon half of the apple mixture on top. Repeat with remaining batter and apples.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes, until center is almost set. Turn off oven and let cheesecake cool inside with door slightly open for 30 minutes.
- Remove and cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, drizzle with salted caramel sauce and sprinkle with sea salt flakes if desired.
Notes
- Add a crumble topping of oats, brown sugar, and butter for extra texture.
- Use canned apple pie filling as a shortcut.
- Make in a 9×13 pan for cheesecake bars that are easier to slice and serve.
