Description

Savory Shrimp & Crab Biscuit Melts are buttery biscuits topped with a creamy, cheesy seafood filling made from shrimp and crab. Baked until golden and bubbling, these melts are an easy, indulgent comfort meal perfect for brunch, lunch, or a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 8 canned biscuits (buttermilk or flaky style)
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup canned crab meat, drained
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 23 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine chopped shrimp, crab meat, mayonnaise, shredded cheddar, green onions, lemon juice, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  3. Open the can of biscuits and place each one on the prepared baking sheet. Press down slightly to widen the surface.
  4. Spoon a generous amount of the seafood mixture onto each biscuit and spread it evenly toward the edges.
  5. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the biscuits are golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly, then serve warm.

Notes

  • Add a dash of hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne for extra heat.
  • Use a blend of mozzarella and Gruyère in place of cheddar for a richer cheese layer.
  • Try English muffins or small ciabatta rolls instead of canned biscuits.
  • Stir in chopped boiled eggs or diced celery for extra texture.
  • Top with fresh herbs like dill or parsley before serving for brightness.
