Description

Savory Turkey and Cranberry Crescent Ring is a festive, easy-to-make dish using leftover turkey wrapped in buttery crescent dough with cranberry sauce, cheese, and herbs. Perfect for holidays, brunch, or parties, it’s flavorful, satisfying, and impressive-looking with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked turkey, chopped or shredded
  • 2 (8 oz) cans crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 4 oz cream cheese (or 1 cup shredded Swiss or cheddar cheese)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard or mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions or parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (optional, for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and arrange triangles in a circle with wide ends overlapping in the center and tips pointing outward, forming a sunburst shape.
  3. In a bowl, mix turkey, cream cheese (or mayo), Dijon mustard, green onions, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spoon turkey mixture evenly around the inner ring of dough.
  5. Add small dollops of cranberry sauce over the turkey mixture.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the filling if using.
  7. Fold pointed ends of the dough over the filling and tuck under the inner ring.
  8. Brush dough with egg wash if desired.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Add goat cheese for tanginess or leftover stuffing for heartiness.
  • Use puff pastry or pizza dough as a substitute for crescent dough.
  • Add jalapeños or pepper jack for a spicy version.
  • Assemble ahead and refrigerate unbaked for up to 24 hours.
  • Reheat in the oven to maintain a crisp crust.
