Description

Strawberry Blackberry Spinach Salad is a light, fresh, and colorful dish combining sweet berries, tender spinach, creamy cheese, and crunchy nuts, all tossed in a tangy vinaigrette. Perfect for everyday meals or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups fresh baby spinach
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1/3 cup crumbled goat cheese or feta
  • 1/3 cup candied pecans or walnuts
  • 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry spinach and berries. Slice strawberries and red onion (if using).
  2. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together olive oil, vinegar, honey or maple syrup, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until smooth and emulsified.
  3. In a large bowl, combine spinach, strawberries, blackberries, cheese, nuts, and red onion.
  4. Drizzle with vinaigrette just before serving.
  5. Toss gently and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add grilled chicken or shrimp for a heartier meal.
  • Use arugula or mixed greens instead of spinach for variety.
  • Substitute nuts with sunflower seeds for a nut-free version.
  • Try orange segments or a splash of orange juice for a citrus twist.
  • Vinaigrette can be made up to 5 days in advance.
