A light and airy strawberry mousse made with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and a touch of gelatin for a perfectly set, creamy dessert—ideal for spring, summer, or any special occasion.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp unflavored gelatin powder
  • 2 tbsp cold water

Instructions

  1. Blend strawberries until smooth. Strain to remove seeds if desired.
  2. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let sit for a few minutes to bloom.
  3. In a saucepan, heat strawberry puree with sugar and lemon juice until warm. Stir in bloomed gelatin until dissolved.
  4. Let mixture cool to room temperature.
  5. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  6. Gently fold cooled strawberry mixture into whipped cream until combined.
  7. Spoon mousse into serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.

Notes

  • Add vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  • Fold in chopped strawberries for texture.
  • Top with shaved chocolate, mint leaves, or fresh berries for decoration.
  • Use whipped coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
  • Agar-agar can be used instead of gelatin for a vegetarian option.
