- 2 tbsp ketchup (plus more for glaze)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional: 1 tsp mustard, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, or BBQ sauce for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Shape mixture into a loaf that fits your air fryer basket or tray.
- Place meatloaf in preheated air fryer and cook for 25 minutes.
- Brush top with ketchup or BBQ sauce and cook an additional 5–10 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Remove from air fryer and let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Use ground turkey or a beef-pork mix for variety.
- Add grated veggies like carrots or zucchini for moisture and nutrition.
- Change up the glaze with mustard, BBQ sauce, or brown sugar and tomato paste.
- Shredded cheese can be mixed into the meat for added flavor.
- Resting the loaf after cooking helps it slice cleanly without falling apart.
