Za’atar Garlic Salmon is a quick and flavorful Middle Eastern-inspired dish made with garlic, lemon, and za’atar seasoning. The salmon roasts until crispy on top and flaky inside, offering a vibrant and healthy meal in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
- 2 tbsp za’atar seasoning
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley or mint for garnish
- Optional: lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, za’atar, salt, and pepper.
- Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush the za’atar mixture generously over the top.
- Roast salmon for 12–15 minutes, until it flakes easily with a fork and the top is lightly golden.
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh herbs if using, and serve hot with lemon wedges.

- Serve over couscous, quinoa, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
