Description

These Air Fryer Chocolate Cupcakes are an easy and delicious treat, rich with chocolate flavor and perfect for a quick dessert. Ready in just 22 minutes, they offer a moist texture and are baked perfectly using the air fryer for a convenient, fuss-free baking experience.

Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

  • 120 ml milk
  • 50 g butter, cubed
  • 2 large eggs

Dry Ingredients

  • 150 g sugar
  • 120 g all-purpose flour
  • 30 g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Heat Milk and Butter: Pour the milk into a pan and heat it gently over low heat. Add the cubed butter and stir continuously until the butter has fully melted. Remove the pan from the heat and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Beat Sugar and Eggs: In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and eggs. Using a hand mixer, beat the mixture until it turns pale and fluffy, which should take about 3-5 minutes to incorporate air and create a light texture.
  3. Sift Dry Ingredients and Combine: Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder to remove lumps. Gradually add these dry ingredients into the egg and sugar mixture. Then, pour in the warm milk-butter mixture.
  4. Fold Batter Smoothly: Using a spatula, gently fold the batter until smooth and evenly combined. Be careful not to overmix to maintain the delicate texture of the cupcakes.
  5. Prepare and Air Fry: Spoon the batter evenly into 12 silicone muffin liners placed inside the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 160°C (320°F) and cook the cupcakes in batches if necessary for 12 minutes.
  6. Check Doneness: After 12 minutes, insert a toothpick into the center of a cupcake. If it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, the cupcakes are done. Remove them carefully from the air fryer and allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • Use silicone muffin liners as they are safe and convenient for air frying.
  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the cupcakes light and fluffy.
  • You can customize by adding chocolate chips to the batter for extra indulgence.
  • Ensure the air fryer basket is not overcrowded for even cooking.
  • Allow cupcakes to cool slightly before removing from liners to prevent breakage.
