Ingredients
Salmon
- 2 (6 oz.) salmon fillets
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
Other
- Nonstick cooking spray
- Lemon wedges, to serve
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (204°C) for 2 minutes to ensure even cooking and a crispy finish.
- Prepare the salmon: Drizzle the flesh (top) side of each salmon fillet with olive oil. Evenly sprinkle seasoned salt and ground black pepper over the oiled surfaces to enhance flavor.
- Air fry the salmon: Spray the inside of the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place the salmon fillets skin side down in the basket. Cook for 8 minutes, or until the thickest part of the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the flesh is opaque. For medium-rare, the internal temperature should be between 130°F and 135°F. If you prefer your salmon more well done, add an extra 2 to 4 minutes to the cooking time.
- Serve: Immediately remove the salmon from the air fryer and serve hot with fresh lemon wedges to squeeze over the top for a bright, citrusy finish.
Notes
- Adjust cooking time slightly depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets for optimal doneness.
- Use an instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature for perfect results.
- Feel free to add fresh herbs like dill or parsley before cooking for extra flavor.
- Serve alongside steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a balanced meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
