Description
Apple Cider Cinnabon Delights are a warm, aromatic treat combining the comforting flavors of apple cider and cinnamon sugar wrapped in flaky crescent dough. Perfect as a cozy snack or festive dessert, these bite-sized delights are baked until golden and drizzled with a sweet glaze for an irresistible finish.
Ingredients
Dough and Filling
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
Glaze
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the Apple Cider Mixture: In a small saucepan, combine the apple cider, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is fragrant and slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Prepare the Dough: Unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Gently press the perforations to seal and form one sheet.
- Add Filling and Roll: Brush the melted butter evenly over the dough. Pour the cooled apple cider mixture over the dough and spread it evenly. Starting from the long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log.
- Slice the Roll: Using a sharp knife, cut the rolled dough into 1-inch thick slices, creating bite-sized pieces.
- Bake: Place the slices on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each to expand. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Make the Glaze: While the pastries are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, apple cider, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Glaze and Serve: Remove the baked delights from the oven and let them cool briefly. Drizzle the glaze over the top of each pastry and serve warm.
Notes
- Ensure the apple cider mixture is not too hot when spreading on the dough to prevent it from becoming soggy.
- You can substitute apple cider with apple juice if preferred.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- For extra flavor, add finely chopped nuts or raisins before rolling.
- These treats can be reheated gently in the microwave or oven before serving.
