Description

This Baked Buffalo Chicken Dip is a creamy, spicy appetizer perfect for game days, parties, or casual gatherings. It combines shredded chicken with tangy buffalo sauce, creamy cheeses, and a touch of ranch seasoning, baked until bubbly and golden. Serve it warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers for a crowd-pleasing snack.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional: chopped green onions or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the dip evenly.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, buffalo wing sauce, and half of the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  3. Transfer to Baking Dish: Spread the mixture evenly into a 1-quart baking dish or an oven-safe casserole dish.
  4. Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the dip.
  5. Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese on top is melted and bubbly with some golden spots.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired. Serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken or leftover cooked chicken for convenience.
  • Adjust the amount of buffalo wing sauce to control the spice level.
  • For a smoother dip, use softened cream cheese and mix thoroughly.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
  • This dip can also be made ahead and baked just before serving for convenience.
