Description

A quick and flavorful salmon dish coated in smoky Cajun seasoning and finished with a rich honey butter glaze for the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the salmon with Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  5. Reduce the heat and add butter, honey, minced garlic, and lemon juice to the skillet.
  6. Spoon the honey butter sauce over the salmon for 1 to 2 minutes until glossy and well coated.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning blend.
  • Smoked paprika adds a deeper smoky flavor.
  • Shrimp can be used instead of salmon for a seafood variation.
  • Green onions make a flavorful garnish.
  • Do not overcook the salmon to keep it moist and tender.
  • The salmon is fully cooked when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches 145°F (63°C).
