Description

Tender salmon fillets coated in a rich Cajun honey butter glaze with bold smoky spices, garlic, and fresh lemon for a quick and flavorful seafood dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the salmon lightly with salt, black pepper, Cajun seasoning, and paprika.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until golden and crisp.
  5. Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until nearly cooked through.
  6. Lower the heat and add the butter, honey, and minced garlic to the skillet.
  7. Stir gently as the butter melts and the sauce combines.
  8. Spoon the sauce repeatedly over the salmon for 1 to 2 minutes until the glaze thickens slightly.
  9. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add cayenne pepper for extra heat.
  • Grill the salmon instead of pan-searing for a smoky flavor.
  • Add a splash of hot sauce or brown sugar for deeper flavor.
  • For a lighter version, reduce the butter and serve with vegetables or salad.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently to avoid drying out the salmon.
  • Leftover salmon works well cold in salads or rice bowls.
  • Salmon is fully cooked when it flakes easily with a fork and is opaque throughout.
