Description

Decadent chocolate covered strawberry brownies combine rich, fudgy chocolate brownies with fresh strawberries dipped in smooth chocolate for an indulgent dessert perfect for celebrations or a special treat.

Ingredients

Brownie Batter

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

  • 12 fresh strawberries with stems
  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brownie Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract. Sift together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder; gradually mix into the wet ingredients until smooth.
  2. Bake the Brownies: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour brownie batter into a greased 8×8 inch baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs. Let brownies cool completely in the pan.
  3. Prepare Strawberries: Wash strawberries and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure chocolate adheres well.
  4. Melt Chocolate: In a heatproof bowl, melt the semisweet chocolate chips with coconut oil over a double boiler or in 30-second microwave intervals, stirring frequently until smooth.
  5. Dip Strawberries: Holding each strawberry by the stem, dip it into the melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the berry. Place dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined tray and allow chocolate to set. You can refrigerate them for faster setting.
  6. Assemble: Once brownies are cooled, cut them into squares. Place one chocolate covered strawberry on top of each brownie square for an elegant presentation.

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from seizing.
  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor and smooth coating.
  • Store brownies with strawberries in a cool place or refrigerator to maintain freshness.
  • You can customize by using white chocolate or dark chocolate for dipping.
  • For extra flair, drizzle contrasting melted chocolate over dipped strawberries before setting.
