Description

This Chicken Caesar Wrap is a delicious and convenient meal featuring tender grilled chicken, crisp romaine lettuce, creamy Caesar dressing, and shaved Parmesan cheese, all wrapped up in a soft tortilla. Perfect for lunch or a light dinner, this wrap combines classic Caesar salad flavors with the portability of a wrap, making it an ideal on-the-go option.

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 12 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

For the Wrap:

  • 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, shaved or grated
  • Optional: Croutons for extra crunch

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil and season with garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Slice the chicken: After resting, thinly slice the grilled chicken breasts into strips or bite-sized pieces for easy wrapping.
  3. Assemble the wrap: Lay a flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread approximately 2 tablespoons of Caesar dressing evenly over the center. Add a handful of chopped romaine lettuce, then top with sliced chicken and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Add croutons if using for extra texture.
  4. Roll the wrap: Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll tightly from the bottom to form a secure wrap. Repeat with remaining tortillas and ingredients.
  5. Serve: Cut the wraps in half diagonally and serve immediately, or wrap tightly in foil to take on the go.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute the flour tortillas with whole wheat or low-carb wraps.
  • Use a low-fat Caesar dressing to reduce calories and fat content.
  • Grilled chicken can be substituted with rotisserie chicken for quicker preparation.
  • Add sliced avocado or tomatoes for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • To keep the wrap from getting soggy, add the Caesar dressing just before eating.
