Description

This Easy Buffalo Chicken Pizza combines the spicy tang of buffalo sauce with tender shredded chicken and melty cheese on a crisp pizza crust. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or game day snack, this pizza brings bold flavors with minimal effort, using simple ingredients you probably have on hand.

Ingredients

For the Pizza Base

  • 1 pre-made pizza dough (about 12 inches)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Toppings

  • 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken breast
  • 1/4 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons blue cheese crumbles (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). This high heat will help achieve a crispy crust.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Roll out your pre-made pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter. Brush the top lightly with olive oil to help get a golden crust.
  3. Mix the Chicken with Sauce: In a bowl, toss the shredded cooked chicken with buffalo wing sauce until the chicken is evenly coated.
  4. Assemble the Pizza: Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly on top, then add blue cheese crumbles if using.
  5. Bake the Pizza: Transfer the pizza to a pizza stone or baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.
  6. Add Garnishes: Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle sliced green onions over the top. Drizzle ranch or blue cheese dressing over the pizza if desired.
  7. Slice and Serve: Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes, then slice into 6-8 pieces and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Use pre-cooked chicken to save time; rotisserie chicken works great.
  • Adjust buffalo sauce quantity to control the spiciness of the pizza.
  • For extra crispiness, bake the pizza on a preheated pizza stone or steel.
  • Blue cheese crumbles are optional but add authentic flavor.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven for best texture retention.
