Description

Tender and flaky salmon fillets cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce with lemon and herbs for a quick and flavorful dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Lemon slices, for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until golden and crispy underneath.
  4. Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until nearly cooked through.
  5. Reduce the heat and add the butter to the skillet.
  6. Once the butter melts, stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Spoon the garlic butter sauce continuously over the salmon for about 1 minute.
  8. Drizzle lemon juice over the salmon and garnish with chopped parsley.
  9. Serve immediately with lemon slices.

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • Mix Parmesan cheese into the butter sauce for a richer flavor.
  • Add spinach, mushrooms, or asparagus for an easy one-pan meal.
  • Reduce the butter and increase lemon juice for a lighter version.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently to avoid drying out the salmon.
  • Leftover salmon is great for salads, sandwiches, or rice bowls.
  • For a dairy-free version, replace butter with dairy-free butter or extra olive oil.
